I. Introduction
This is the official Privacy Policy of the 91AV原创 Association and its organizational affiliates, the Clean Power Institute and PowerVotes (collectively, 鈥�91AV原创,鈥� 鈥渨e,鈥� 鈥渦s,鈥� or 鈥渙ur鈥�).
We are committed to protecting the privacy of our Members, registered attendees at our conferences (鈥淎ttendees鈥�), and those who provide us with information personal to them. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you about the types of information we gather about you, including information gathered when you visit 91AV原创鈥檚 official website located at www.Cleanpower.org, related websites also hosted by 91AV原创, 91AV原创鈥檚 social media pages, 91AV原创鈥檚 downloadable mobile applications (collectively, the “Site”), and information we may receive from third parties or affiliates, how we may use that information, whether we disclose that information to anyone, and the choices you have regarding our use of, and your ability to correct, the information. By using the Site, you expressly consent to the use and disclosure of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
When 91AV原创 gathers information from you, we do so mainly to ensure that if you are obtaining a product or service from 91AV原创 we have the data needed to deliver that to you in a timely manner, and that if there is a cost for that product or service the payment is processed effectively and securely. We may also use information from you to provide you with better customer service by understanding the products and services we offer that interest you. We may also utilize the physical address you provide to derive summarized data about where employees in the clean energy industry work, in order to help advocate for the industry with key legislators and regulators in those regions. We may share this data on a limited basis with co-sponsors/co-presenters of our events, or affiliate organizations with which we work closely and which also help advocate for clean power.
We collect two types of information: personally identifiable information and non-personally identifiable information. Personally identifiable information is information that identifies you or can be used to identify or contact you (“Personally Identifiable Information”). We also may collect information that by itself typically cannot be used to identify or contact you, such as demographic information (e.g. age, profession or gender), IP addresses, browser types, domain names, and other anonymous statistical data involving the use of our Site (“Non-Personally Identifiable Information”). The non-personally identifiable information may also include information about the company at which you are employed, if that company is a member, sponsor, or affiliate of 91AV原创.
This Site is governed by laws and regulations of the United States (“U.S.”). If you are not a resident of the U.S. and you chose to join 91AV原创, to participate in 91AV原创 events and activities that require the submission of your Personally Identifiable Information, or otherwise provide 91AV原创 with Personally Identifiable Information, you hereby freely consent to the transfer and processing of your Personally Identifiable Information to the U.S. and you consent to be governed by the laws and regulations of the U.S. with regards to the use of your Personally Identifiable Information. If you are a member citizen of the European Economic Area you have additional protections not defined in US law that 91AV原创 will fully honor, as outlined in section VI below.
We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time without prior notice. When we modify the Policy, we will post the revised Policy on this Site. If the modifications are material in nature, we will also post a notice on this Site for 90 days beginning on the date the revised Policy is posted, to inform you that the policy has been modified.
II. Collection and Use of Personally Identifiable Information
This Privacy Policy governs all forms of Personally Identifiable Information collected by 91AV原创 online and offline. We collect Personally Identifiable Information online and offline only if you choose to provide it to us, to affiliate organizations, or to authorized agents of 91AV原创. If you choose to apply for an 91AV原创 membership, register for an 91AV原创 conference or seminar, order a publication, download a resource, participate in an 91AV原创 event, or make a donation, we will ask you to provide information that may include your name, job title, name of company, business address, business phone number, alternate phone number, fax number and e-mail address. 91AV原创 does not collect home addresses, home phone numbers or home e-mail accounts unless you decide to provide this information to 91AV原创. We will also collect certain information about member companies that may include office location(s), company size, and industry classification. We may use this Personally Identifiable Information to provide communications to you regarding the product, service or information you received or requested, or products, services, or information we believe may be of interest to you, as well as to facilitate marketing communications or policy, education, and/or advocacy communications (鈥淎dvocate Communications鈥�). You may unsubscribe from 91AV原创 emails using the unsubscribe button at the bottom of our emails, or update your email preferences using these links:
*Any changes you make 1) may not apply to communications that have already been processed to be sent; and 2) will not apply to communications to complete a transaction or request already made or in process (e.g. a payment confirmation email).
If you are a member of 91AV原创 we may include your company name and contact information to compile an Annual Membership Directory for the personal and professional use of 91AV原创 members. This directory may include your individual name if your company indicates that you are the primary contact for 91AV原创 membership. Every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the information contained in the Directory. Online access to the Directory is password protected and restricted for use only by 91AV原创 members and organizational staff. If you serve on the 91AV原创 Board, or an 91AV原创 Committee or Working Group, your name may be listed as a member of that entity in the Directory or on 91AV原创鈥檚 website, and 91AV原创 may also include a brief biography but only with your permission. If you are a member or event attendee, we may include your name, photo, and quotations and/or video for member testimonials, with your permission.
We collect a credit or debit card account number, along with the expiration date and security code, from members or other individuals to pay for membership dues, 91AV原创 events fees, publications, audio or video materials and other contributions. We do not store credit card numbers or checking account information. Payment information is retained only as needed for administrative and tax purposes and in accordance with PCI/DSS standards.
Information on the Site includes industry news and case studies that may list names and other individual information as part of the document. 91AV原创 is not responsible for data that may be captured in news stories and reference materials published by sources other than 91AV原创 that are linked to via the Site.
In addition to cleanpower.org and cleanpowerinstitute.org, 91AV原创 may maintain supplemental related websites such as the Power Votes website. Where those websites facilitate grassroots activities, 91AV原创 may collect individual data including name, company name, address, telephone number and email address. It may also collect specific demographic data, which the individual user may provide at their own option.
To the extent we are able to do so, we may link your Non-Personally Identifiable Information with your Personally Identifiable Information. We may also link information collected online with information we collect offline or that is collected online by third parties. Any information that is linked with Personally Identifiable Information will be treated as Personally Identifiable Information as of the date of that linkage.
If you agreed to receive text messages by providing your telephone number either directly to us or one of our third-party vendors providing services on our behalf, you can opt-out of receiving future text messages from a specific number at any time by texting “STOP”. Please note that data rates or data usage may apply to text messages sent or received based on your telephone or messaging subscription service or data plan.
III. Sharing of Personally Identifiable Information
If you are registered to attend an 91AV原创 event or program, we may share your contact information with other organizations that are co-sponsors or co-presenters of such event or program. lf you are a non-member, we may also use your email address for 91AV原创-related promotional purposes. We do not disclose your email address to non-related third parties for marketing purposes. We may also share your information with our affiliates and within 91AV原创 to improve service to our members and to enhance our organization’s effectiveness including for Advocate Communications.
91AV原创 may provide your personal information to service providers or contractors to perform functions on its behalf, such as, but not limited to, companies or individuals hired to: communicate news, deliver 91AV原创’s promotional materials via e-mail and direct mail, assist with organizing, operating or marketing 91AV原创 events, promote 91AV原创’s social media presence and activities, to develop, enhance, market or provide any of 91AV原创’s products or services, to process credit card payments and to assist 91AV原创 with sending communications and performing other marketing and support functions.
To the extent permitted by law, we may disclose your Personally Identifiable Information to government authorities or third parties pursuant to a legal request, subpoena, to comply with other legal process, or upon a law enforcement agency鈥檚 (or other governmental agency鈥檚) request. We may also use or disclose your Personally Identifiable Information to protect the rights or property of the 91AV原创, and the rights, safety or security of our members, our employees, our Site, or its users, and to enforce our Terms of Use Agreement. IV. The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act
91AV原创 does not knowingly collect Personally Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13 without prior verifiable parental consent. If 91AV原创 learns that, despite these measures, a child under the age of 13 has submitted Personally Identifiable Information to 91AV原创 through the Site, it will take reasonable measures to delete such information from its records and to not use such information for any purpose (except where necessary to protect the safety of the child or others as required by law).

We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards intended to protect against the loss, misuse, unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure of information. Given the nature of information processing systems and technology, it is impossible for us to guarantee that information, during transmission through the Internet or while stored in our systems or otherwise in our care, will be absolutely safe from intrusion by others. Should you suspect a security incident or security breach related to your Information, said suspected security breach or incident should be reported to 91AV原创 by emailing [email protected] and including relevant information so that 91AV原创 can assist you with your query. If you are a member citizen of the European Economic Area as defined by General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you may have additional rights regarding notification after a breach.
