U.S.听clean energy manufacturing is ramping up, bringing the benefits of new energy projects while boosting industry and strengthening national security听

• Clean power manufacturing contributes听$31 billion听to听U.S.听GDP annually and supports 216,000 American jobs.听听

• Clean energy听factory听workers earn 35%听more听than the average American worker.听

• 70 new听clean energy听manufacturing facilities came online in 2025, bringing total to over 825 facilities听across all 50 states听with large clusters in听Texas, Tennessee, Georgia,听Ohio听and North Carolina.听听

Washington, DC, May听21, 2026听鈥� Momentum continues for the American clean energy manufacturing industry despite policy headwinds, according to the 91AV原创听Association (91AV原创)鈥檚 second annual听State of Clean Energy Manufacturing report, out today. American clean energy manufacturing is now a cornerstone听of听the U.S. industrial economy. The industry听offers听a听low-cost,听reliable,听and rapidly deployable听domestic听solution to meet growing energy听demand听while听enhancing national security by reducing reliance on foreign energy听resources and听supply chains.听

鈥淐lean听power听manufacturing听is听on a roll.听With听energy听demand on the rise, building clean power systems here in the U.S. is critical to meeting our energy needs听and strengthening our national security,鈥� said听Jason Grumet, CEO of 91AV原创. 鈥淭o maintain this manufacturing boom, it is critical that we have targeted, transparent international trade policy in America. Congress needs to provide reasonable tariff compliance timelines and regulatory certainty on trade to support the manufacturers that are powering American communities.鈥� 听

The report鈥檚 key findings include:听

• Every clean energy manufacturing job supports an听additional听four jobs across the broader U.S. economy听鈥撎齩ne听additional听job from听upstream activities, and three听additional听jobs听from household spending.听听听听

• Over 235 new clean energy manufacturing facilities have opened in the United States in the last five years.听

• More than 300 U.S. factories are producing the core components of clean energy projects, including wind blades, towers, nacelles, solar modules, and batteries.听

• Domestic manufacturing capacity is now sufficient to听fully satisfy听U.S. demand for solar听modules, battery modules, wind towers, and wind nacelles听(the cover听for generating components in a wind turbine).听
